Nosy Tanikely
Nosy Tanikely is one of the most popular scuba diving spots in Madagascar. It’s 20 minutes from Ambatoloaka beach, in Nosy Be, that this site offers discovery sessions to divers of all levels. Encounters with eagle rays and stingrays, lobsters, toad fish and leaf fish or even with groupers and barracudas are to be expected. At Nosy Tanikely, divers can also admire amazing coral reefs and underwater rocks.
In the Mitsio Islands
The Mitsio Islands are accessible in 6 hours of navigation north of Nosy Be. This site is renowned for its concentration of fauna in myriad shapes and colors. Mantas, stingrays, barracudas and batfish can be found on the site, weaving between the yellow gorgonian and the soft coral which adorn the site. Photographic divers will be particularly well served there.
Ranobe lagoon, Ifaty
Ranobe lagoon, Ifaty, offers exceptional diving sites over 40 km. Inside the lagoon, the rose massif invites the diver to encounter lion fish, parrot fish, scorpion fish, not forgetting torpedoes and stingrays. An equally rich fauna will also be discovered in the Juliette cave. And outside the lagoon, black-spotted rays, Javan moray eels and humpback snappers will be within reach.
Nosy Iranja
From Nosy Be, Nosy Iranja can be reached in approximately two hours. It is a heavenly marine site where divers will encounter trevally, turtles and impressive fish. Spinner dolphins may also be present, as well as sharks. Exploration is generally done on drop-offs. A cave and gorgonians offer an underwater landscape that will not fail to delight the curious.
The Gorgon Forest
Still under the crystal clear waters of north-west Madagascar, the gorgonian forest offers very rich exploration dives. Turtles, crocodile fish and stingrays will be encountered on the site, above hundreds of immense gorgonians. With luck, it is even possible to come across seahorses. This diving spot is open to all levels of divers.
