Catering and food are quite affordable in Brazil, unlike new technology products and imported items. The prices of meals in restaurants are almost half as expensive as in France. A cheap, hearty meal costs around R$15, while average prices range from R$20 to R$35, or around €9 to €16. From R$35, you are entitled to great chef dishes in luxury restaurants. Meals in a churrascaria, including unlimited starters and grills, cost around R$30. A coffee is offered for R$0.75 and R$1.5 to R$2.5 is enough for a good beer.

The cost of accommodation in Brazil depends mainly on the region, the season, as well as the comfort requested. Generally, a cheap double room costs no more than R$90 per day.
